Dr. Lars Christian Andrees has been working as a patent attorney and European Trademark and Design Attorney since 2011, providing comprehensive advice to international clients on all aspects of patent and trademark law.

Dr. Andrees studied biochemistry with a focus on biophysical chemistry and pharmacology at the University of Hanover. He completed a research stay at the Australian National University in Canberra and received his doctorate in molecular structural biology from the Technical University of Munich and the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry in Martinsried.

From 2018 to 2024 he was in-house counsel and “Director of Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Development & Patents” in a German-American biotechnology company. Since 2025 he has been working for the firm.

Currently, Dr. Andrees is further expanding his legal expertise through a Master’s degree (LL.M.) in European Intellectual Property Law.

Dr. Andrees specializes in the fields of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and chemistry, with a particular focus on biologicals like antibodies, biomarkers and nucleic acids and small molecules like enzyme effectors.
